London 22nd October 2018, Jumbo’s Dessineo educational arts & crafts collection has seen huge award success for the second year following the launch of the Learn to Paint (Artist Easel, Stencils and Numbers) products. The educational learning toys have received seven wins across industry recognised awards, as well as recommendations from a leading independent expert on play and child development.

The award success includes several popular and influential consumer awards, from the Right Start Awards, Loved by Parents, Made for Mums and Practical Pre-School. With categories covering Best Art or Creative Toy, Best Activity Toy, Hands on: Arts & Crafts and Creative Play, the Dessineo range has been well received by parent testers across the UK. The Dessineo Learn to Paint products have also received the ‘recommended’ status from Fundamentally Children and are now featured in the renowned Good Toy Guide.

“Our testers loved these art sets and had lots of fun creating their own masterpieces. It was lovely to watch them use the different resources to build their own pictures: there were lots of opportunities for developing fine motor skills and dexterity, which helps youngsters improve their pincer grip (used for writing and drawing). The set also promotes colour recognition and colour mixing, which develops children’s knowledge and understanding and provides them with opportunities to express their creativity and imagination. It’s great that the stencils can be washed and reused again and again,” commented by an expert at Fundamentally Children.

The Dessineo Painting Easel, Paint with Stencils and Paint by Numbers products are perfect for helping children to build a painting in easy steps. Children can create and paint many different pictures using the provided templates, paint colours, paint brush, roller brush, artist pallet and sheets of paper with picture frames printed on them.

“We’re delighted to see the same level of success for the Learn to Paint range as we saw last year for the initial Learn to Draw Dessineo item,” began Steven Russell, Marketing Manager at Jumbo Games. “allowing children to express their creativity in a fun and educational way is great and what we’ve seen parents really engage in. It’s great to see this backed up through the accreditation and recognition it has received in this year’s award wins!”
