Alpha Group UK’s Reg Sookee cycled his way to glory in a time of 5 hours and 57 minutes as he completed 100 miles raising well over £1,200 for Shooting Star Children’s Hospice.

After 5 years of applying, Reg finally had his breakthrough and was accepted to ride as part of Prudential’s Ride100 competition, a daring circuit filled with twists and turns, long straights, and dreaded hills around beautiful sites of London and the stunning Surrey countryside.

Whilst being a keen road cyclist, this was a personal achievement and the ride meant more to Reg than the blood, sweat and tears on the bike. Following a visit to one of Shooting Star Children’s Hospice’s hospice days earlier this year, Reg was personally struck by the help and support that they provide young people and families with, as they go through life-changing situations and battle life-limiting conditions. Seeing babies, children, young people and their families go through the struggles spurred Reg on his mission to raise money for the charity.

Supported by his colleagues, who are still yet to get over the images of him in lycra, Reg completed the ride in a fantastic time and would love for any extra donations in order to support the wonderful Shooting Star Hospice.
