Global animation studio, One Animation, is further strengthening its footprint in Latin America with a major toy launch across Walmart Mexico’s top outlets for its smash-hit show, Oddbods, later this month.

Following a slew of TV broadcast, VOD and SVOD partnership deals for the twice Emmy-nominated series across the country, retail giant Walmart are launching a range of interactive Oddbods plush, figurines, vehicles and play-sets in their top 280 stores.

And to celebrate this highly anticipated development, Oddbods’ little fans will be thrilled to learn that broadcast partner, Turner, will be airing a series of Oddbods on-air marathons across both their Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels, coupled with digital support on their Mexican site.

Pauline Hiu, VP Consumer Products LATAM at One Animation comments; ‘Mexico is a highly significant market for us and one in which are we are placing considerable energy and resource. We’re thrilled to announce the commitment from Walmart and from our key broadcast partners in the region, which is reflective of the high calibre of collaborations Oddbods is now attracting on a global scale.’

‘We’re very excited to be collaborating with One Animation to bring this fantastic show to the next level in Mexico: The Oddbods have been very well received on both our Cartoon Network and Boomerang channels, so it’s great that Mexican kids now have the opportunity to interact with them off screen too’, said Jaime Jimenez, Content Director at Turner Kids, Mexico & Colombia.

Oddbods’ on air success to date reflects the brand’ global trend, with a staggering 10BN views and 8.5M subscribers generated to date across its various YouTube channels and a sizeable number of new licensing deals across Asia, Middle East and Africa soon to be announced.
